2023 – Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
December 9th – Toys for Tots 7th Community Distribution
Tis the season! Finally, Santa and the Grinch have come together to share with our Community Heroes, Toys for Tots 7 years and running! Come and be a part of our community as we will continue to bless and share. Special thank you to our partners Brooklyn United Methodist Church, and True Vine Family Christian Center!! A big Thank You, to all of our Board Members, Staff, and Volunteers that made our Christmas Give Away a successful Day. Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy Successful New Year!

It was an honor to be invited to speak and do a presentation at the Crystal, New Hope, and Robbinsdale, Rotary Club this morning, on behalf of The Inner Hero!!
October 10th, 2023 – AFL-CIO Presentation of The Inner Hero
Ambrose R. Russell had the opportunity to do a presentation at The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, this morning Oct 10, 2023. (AFL-CIO) works tirelessly to improve the lives of working people.

September 4th, 2023 – Back to School Haircuts and Supplies
The Inner Hero in collaboration with Faded Barbershop Uptown gave 125 kids ‘Back to School’ haircuts and school supplies! Thank you to The Vine Family Christian Center for the donations for the second year!! A big thank you to all of the Barbers, and the Faded Barbershop, and a special thanks to all of the parents for bringing their kids out!

July 22nd, 2023 – 7th Annual 5 on 5 Basketball Tournament
The Inner Hero presented its 7th Annual 5 on 5 Basketball Tournament on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023, at 43 Hoops at 2122 Woodbury Dr., Woodbury, MN 55125. We had a great time and enjoyed the friendly competition as the teams competed for prizes and a trophy.
A 1st place prize of $2,000 with a trophy, a 2nd place prize of $1,000 with a trophy, and a 3rd place prize of $300 with a trophy was awarded to the best teams.
July 13th, 2023 – The Inner Hero at the Maple Grove NetWorkers Group
It was an honor this morning to present the Mission, Vision, and works of The Inner Hero, to the Maple Grove NetWorkers Group!!

May 27th, 2023 – Mentorship Seminar
The Mentorship Seminar went excellently today! The guest speakers were Bernie Burnham, President of the American Federation of Labor & Congress of Industrial Organization, Minnesota, and Jerome Richardson, Minnesota Teen Activists.
They discussed many issues surrounding families and community connectivity to achieve success as a village.
April 28th, 2023 – The Inner Hero After School Program at the YMCA
It was a very emotional and successful day for The Inner Hero. Years ago it was an idea to have our After School Program, where we help our community Heroes reach their full potential.
March 25th, 2023 – Coon Rapids Police Department Panel
It was an honor today, to sit on a panel of Coon Rapids, MN Police Department, to interview six new applicants to be hired, as police officers. Also, train their Officers to become professional Mentors within the high school.
